Why you need to be your own boss NOW - More Than Ever.

Unemployment is up big time.  Jobs are not as plentiful.  Most jobs are getting automated, consolidated or simply kaput.  Face it, we are not in your parent's economy of simply going to a job and working till 65.  For some, the pivot to be your own boss starts now.  You have no choice.   I didn't have a choice.

Let's take a look at some reasons to consider being your own boss or pursuing entrepreneurship.

  1. Autonomy: Being your own boss gives you the freedom to make decisions independently. You have the power to shape your business and work on projects that align with your vision and values.

  2. Flexibility: Entrepreneurs often have the flexibility to set their own schedules, allowing for a better work-life balance and the ability to prioritize personal commitments.

  1. Pursuit of Passion: Starting your own business allows you to follow your passion and turn it into a viable career. You have the opportunity to work on something you truly believe in and enjoy.

  2. Unlimited Potential: As an entrepreneur, there is no limit to your earning potential. You can scale your business and reap the benefits of your hard work and innovative ideas.

  3. Job Security: While being your own boss comes with its own set of risks, some people find a sense of security in being in control of their professional destiny rather than relying on a single employer.

  1. Creativity and Innovation: Entrepreneurship allows you to be creative and innovative, as you constantly search for new solutions and ideas to improve your business and address market needs.

  2. Impact: Building your own venture enables you to make a positive impact on your customers, employees, and the community at large. You have the chance to create something meaningful and leave a legacy.

  3. Skill Development: Being an entrepreneur provides opportunities for personal and professional growth. You'll be required to wear multiple hats and develop various skills, from management to marketing and finance.

  4. Challenging and Rewarding: While entrepreneurship can be challenging, it can also be highly rewarding. The sense of accomplishment from building and growing your business can be unparalleled.

It's important to note that entrepreneurship isn't for everyone, and there are risks involved. It requires dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to embrace uncertainty. Some people thrive in a traditional employment setting, while others find fulfillment and success as entrepreneurs. Ultimately, the decision to become your own boss should be based on your personal values, goals, and willingness to take on the responsibilities of running a business.
