What are the Top Seven Foods to Help The Anti-Aging Process?

Everyone wants to look younger but how many actually do something about it, whether it is changing their lifestyle to incorporate fitness, taking effective supplements, eating the right foods and educating themselves about nutrition.   For our blog we wanted to talk about some superfoods that help you lose the aging process and be youthful.

If you're over 40 and want to defy each passing year while promoting more youthful hair, nails and skin, the below 7 foods will help you stock up on some of the most powerful anti-aging nutrients around.

1.  Olive Oil - Not only do the monounsaturated fats contained in olive oil support healthy arteries and a healthy heart, but olive oil also contains polyphenols, a potent anti-oxidant that may help prevent a number of age-related diseases.  We recommend organic extra virgin olive oil for the most anti-aging bang for your buck.

2.  Red Wine - That's right, a glass of wine daily may indeed have a positive effect on your health due to its resveratrol content, a unique anti-oxidant that can help fight against diabetes, heart disease, and age-related memory loss.

3.  Beans - The unique proteins in beans thicken and strengthen your hair cells, so you can enjoy a full head of hair as you lengthen your years. :)

4.  Brazil Nuts - Brazil nuts are rich in selenium, a mineral which aids in the production of the anti-oxidant glutathione to help slow down the skin aging process.  Just 2 nuts a day will provide you with enough selenium to reap its anti-aging benefits.

5.  Tomatoes - Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, which has been shown to support heart health and healthy cholesterol levels as you age.  Lycopene also acts as a natural sun block to keep skin youthful and protected from harmful UV rays.

6.  Raspberries & Blueberries - These two berries contain important anti-oxidants to help offset inflammation and oxidative stress that contribute to skin aging and wrinkles.  Just one serving of either or these berries contains more anti-oxidants than 10 servings of most other fruits and vegetables!

7.  Organic Eggs - Despite the bad rap eggs get because of their cholesterol content, which is based on completely erroneous science, eggs are rich in biotin and iron which help to promote healthy, youthful skin and hair.

Hello there!

We hope you are doing well as another winter comes to a close.   It was not much of a winter in Greater Boston, but none the less, we are happy Spring is right around the corner!

Earlier in February, we were in Miami for our Market America World Conference which was sandwiched between two big events in South Florida, the Super Bowl and the Miami Marathon.   Let's just say Miami was were all the action was in the month of February!

As with all of our major events, there was a lot of excitement and positive energy!    The MA World Conference event was very celebrity focused with Scottie Pippen, Thalia, Fat Joe and of course Mr Jamie Foxx himself doing a mini concert (
See link).

There are probably too many highlights to mention here so what we will do is bring up three big highlights here.   Please check our website,
http://www.allinmycart.com and Facebook Page for All In My Cart - Shopping Annuity for updates!

Next up, we were honored to have the Rastelli team at MA World Conference to talk about their freshly delivered meat and seafood.  They made a point that they can ship you fresh meat and seafood that is less than two days old, which is a lot different from what you buy in a supermarket!  Great for that BBQ or party.  This is worth checking out!

Go to our Rastelli's Landing page
here.

In the world of beauty and health/wellness, we bring you Pure Collagen!  Over the years, wear and tear on skin, hair, bone and joints become more prevalent. Ultimately, this wear and tear can result in dry and wrinkled skin, joint aches, and weakened bones. Our bodies depend on their natural collagen production to maintain skin elasticity and provide structural support in connective tissue and muscles and joints. However, as we age, the production of this vital protein begins to slow down—supplementing with collagen may help this issue. Pure Collagen offers a comprehensive collagen formula hydrolyzed into small bioactive peptides that support healthy collagen production throughout the body.

Look and feel young, get your
Pure Collagen here.

The above featured products/ partner stores is just the start, we also debuted the

10 Recommendations to Change Your Life in 2020 from the DeSocial Connector

We are now in a new decade after one that was definitely defining in the world of information technology, marketing, health/wellness and entrepreneurship.

In the world of IT, it is cloud, Internet-of-Things and cybersecurity.
In marketing, it is social analytics and the death of traditional marketing.
In health/wellness, it is all about what we put in our bodies and how much we move.
In the world of entrepreneurs, it is all about the side hustle and why you need it today to survive financially.

The world is different and it you are not willing to adjust to the rapid change, you will be left in the dust!    With the experience I built over the past decade in IT, Marketing, Health/Wellness and Entrepreneurship, I like to provide 10 recommendations for you to get off to an amazing start this decade.

(1)  Focus on being proactive when it comes to great health.
I wanted to start with this one since, without great health, you will not be here reading this blog.   We are in a society of a quick fix, you know take a pill, or drink a shake or fake exercising.   You need to focus on your lifestyle and implement a fitness, supplementation, diet and mindset program now to get yourself off to a great start!

(2)  Get out there and network professionally.
You are never going to get ahead in the professional world, unless you connect with other professionals face-to-face and build lasting relationships.   If you are looking for a job, this is the only way to go.  Sitting behind a computer gets you nowhere.

(3)  Take social media seriously.
I heard it a lot out there, you know I don't do Facebook, Tik Tok or Instagram.   Social Media is the second coming of the First Amendment and it is out of control, but it is the best way to learn, connect and influence others.  There is a place and platform for everyone, just spend your time wisely on it.

(4)  This is not your parent's IT running our companies today.
Information Technology is no longer about building systems and on-call support.  Today's IT is about adaptability, the endless cloud and security.   It is also about getting out of your shell, or away from coding behind a couple of monitors, and partnering with your business to be a service provider.

(5) There is no more Corporate America.
Back in the day, the typical professional stayed at their company for 5, 10 even 20 years, and did the same job, while building a 401k and hoping for 65 to come soon.  This is not the case today.   Now we are in the world of constantly selling ourselves, building our personal brand and hoping we can stay consistently working.  We need to always be on edge that we may not have a job tomorrow.

(6) Side-hustles are cool.
I am in Information Technology, but love Marketing and Health/Wellness.  I build my side-hustle around my passion for Social Media and being healthy.    The great thing about side hustles are that it gives you hope for the future and you will notice that you are more positive about life.

(7)  Diets are not the answer.
The classic New Year's resolution is going on a diet especially after indulging over the holidays.   Generally diets don't work.  You cannot expect to drink a shake and/or skip meals and expect to be healthy.    Eat the right foods often, drink water and exercise, and you will see results.

(8) If you have a small biz, take digital marketing seriously.
Marketing is the #1 way for your future customers to know about your company.  So many times, business owners delay and don't focus on their website and that is ok.   I recommend getting a company to do it for you and build a great marketing campaign to show your customers how serious you are about your business.

(9)   Constantly education yourself.
I am going to be honest, watching American Idol does nothing for you.   Instead of sitting in front of a TV drinking coke, get out there in the evening and go to a meetup or a presentation on something that you are passionate about.   You will be networking, learning and may find something that you can focus on!

(10)  Get a mentor.
If you want to get healthy, find a healthy person to mentor you.
If you want to start a business, find a successful business owner to mentor you.
If  you want to switch careers, find someone that switched their career.
The first place to start is to find an influencer to get you started.!

I hope my recommendations can help you.  It is all about taking advantage of the life we have and to help others, so let's rock it in 2020 and be successful together!

Spring is a New Beginning to Get Into Better Health - Some Tips

Just like New Years, the Spring Season is always looked at as a time for new beginnings.  The last of the cold snowy weather is in the rear view and the days, especially the evenings are nice and bright.

When it comes to your health, you should always be consistent every day to ensure you maintain a great balance of exercise, diet, mindset and of course take a great supplement.   You need to work all sectors of health in tandem to ensure great health.    The old saying, you can eat an amazing healthy diet but it doesn't mean much if you are a couch potato.   On the contrary, you can be a gym rat, but if you indulge in fried food, it would be exactly a pinnacle of great health.   Finally, your attitude toward life and how positive you are is the cherry on the sundae.   OK, maybe the cherry on a nutrition bar.

As mentioned, your health maintenance is broken down into your fitness activities, diet, mindset and supplements.  What I like to do is offer some tips for each that are very basic.

Fitness -
I can just simply say join your local gym and hire a trainer to put you through hell at the gym.  Instead, I like offer some easy exercises you can do in place of going to the gym if you have a busy productive lifestyle.

  • If you work in the office, take the stairs whenever possible and get up and walk around. or at a minimum stretch, every 15-20 minutes, so you maintain great blood flow and digestion of any food you eat.    Sitting in your office for hours on end is worse than smoking a pack of cigarettes.
  • Always take a walk after eating, breakfast, lunch and dinner.   By walking, you will be able to easily digest your food and burn off any unhealthy calories.   Do not do any strenuous exercise right after eating.
  • If you don't go to a gym, pick up a pair of dumbbell weights and do about 10-15 minutes of exercise daily.   Here is a great video on a full body workout using a pair of dumbbells.
Diet -
I wanted to first mention that when you mention that you are on a diet, it does not mean you are working to lose weight.   You can always be on a bad diet full of fried foods and bad carbs.

  • Water is the single most important beverage in your diet.  Water helps you digest, provides energy and even helps you maintain a great weight.   Your body is 60% water, so simply if you are thirsty, drink water.
  • Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and lunch is the second most important.   I know this sounds backward, but think about it, when are you the most active during the day.  The worst thing to do is have a huge dinner then relax.   There are basic like avoiding sugar, especially white sugar, too much dairy and processed foods, but if you eat small portions and exercise regularly, it is OK to treat yourself once in a while.
  • Never ever skip a meal.  Any weight loss program that recommends to skip a meal, or drink this shake or even wear this wrap around your waist, is not a worthy weight loss program.  The key to maintaining a great lifestyle is eating small nutritious meals.

Positive Mindset -
It is how you feel about yourself and your life that will determine how focused you are on your fitness and diet.    Always visualize yourself at your goal, looking and feeling great.   There will be tough days but always know there are great days to look forward too.

  • Avoid negative people.   I know you hear this a million times, but really, what does a complainer do for you?  Nothing.   Hang out with people better than you.
  • Find the root cause of your health issues.  Is it stress?  If so, find ways to relieve your stress.   if needed, contact a professional to help you especially if stress is effecting your weight and your well-being.
  • There will be traffic, there will be issues at your home, or you may lose your job.   Everyone has bad days, but the difference is, is how they handle adversity.  A positive mindset, great diet and exercise will help you get through those rough stretches.

Supplements -
Yes, supplements.   Face it, our food is not as healthy as it was 30 or 40 years ago,  We are always in a rush and the supermarkets are full of canned goods and processed cereal that is not very good for you.   Walk around the supermarket and look at labels.  I bet 70-80% of food you buy either has sugar, salt or pesticides on them.   Do you really think that apple in the fruit stand has no chemicals on it?  Think again.   This is why supplements are more important than ever.

  • Make sure your vitamins are liquid based and are biodegradable so you are able to absorb the nutrients within five minutes.   A pill will need to be digested and broken down in your stomach.  Your stomach breaks down food and anything else you eat, so why not take a supplement that goes to your small intestine and absorb the nutrients instantly?
  • Be leery of any sugar snack such as cereal, pop tarts or even soda that claim that have extra vitamins and minerals.   Think about it, sugar is evil so why eat or drink something that claims it is healthy for you and it has a lot of sugar in it?
  • Milk does not do a body good.   This may fall under diet, but I wanted to make something clear.  The calcium in milk is not the pure calcium that your body needs to maintain good bone health.  The supplement needs to also have magnesium in it to absorb the calcium.   Does milk have real magnesium in it?  I think not.
So hopefully our blog provided you some simple steps toward great health.  Spring is all about new beginnings so why not start today on your healthy journey!

When It Comes to Your Health - It Is All About Love, Nutrition and Exercise - An Inspiration from Max

Recently, we lost our beloved miniature pinscher, Max, after enjoying 15 and half years of his 18 years of life.   Max was our son, our laughter and our guard dog.   After a long day, it was always heartwarming to see his little tail wagging in happiness to see you and then he proceeded to beg for a treat.    Max has provided more memories that will forever be on our minds.

It has been a tough few weeks.    As we broke the news of Max's passing to friends, family and colleagues, the outpouring of sympathy warmed our hearts.   When we mentioned Max's age, that he passed at 18 years old, a sense of amazement and eyes popping our of their heads was a common reaction.    Wow, Max lived 18 years?   The life expectancy of miniature pinschers was around 14 years.   We were always asked, what was our secret to Max's long life?

It was easy.
Love, Nutrition and Exercise.

Love - We were always there for Max and telling him that we loved him and made sure he had all the comforts of home.   We treated Max like gold since he was gold to us.

Nutrition - We rarely gave Max human food.  After all, he is a canine.   We made sure he had his vitamins and ate the best food.   He would have a treat here and there, but we made sure the treats had the nutrition Max needed for a long life

Exercise - Max didn't just sit around.   Until his last week, we took him out for walks every day, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day.  Max has hiked a few short mountains and walked some of our great beaches.   Back in the early days, he would sprint after the squirrels and rabbits in our back yard.

What we learned from caring from Max is how important, love, nutrition and exercise is to personal health.   I know I am stating the obvious, but for some people that are not in the best of health, perhaps something is missing that will help them reach their health and wellness goals.

Here are some ideas to help you focus on the three important aspects of great health.

Love - At AIMC Health Solutions we always stress that positive mindset and determination is the most important part of a health/wellness plan.   First, get rid of any negative influence in your life and focus your energy on the positive influences in your life.   Even if you are totally out of shape and are going to the gym for the first time, congrats to you and hang with people that cheer for you, not hurt you.   You will notice your energy level go up the more you are around positive influences.

Nutrition - It really is all about what you put into your bodies.    You heard that sugar strips your body of nutrients and even causes disease if taken in high doses.   Dairy, alcohol and soft drinks do nothing to help your health.   Yes, milk has calcium, but it is pasteurized calcium, not the real thing.  Focus on food that is naturally produced like fruits and vegetables, and take a vitamin supplement to help closed the gap on your body's daily nutritional needs.    Once you start eliminating sugar and artificial foods out of your diet, you will notice your appearance and general feeling about life to be a lot better.

Exercise - Another important aspect of what AIMC Health Solutions preaches to their clients is fitness and exercise.   You can eat the best foods, take the best vitamins, but if you don't move, you may still have health issues.   A recent study mentioned, that people that sit at a desk all day at their job is worst than smoking a pack of cigarettes a day.    Put together an exercise program with a mix of cardiovascular work, free weights and even yoga and follow it at least three or four days a week.   A little tip is to go for walk after each meal so your body processes your food faster.   The more you exercise, the better you will feel about yourself and reach your health and wellness goals.

Finally, when it is all said and done, focusing on love, nutrition and exercise is what it is all about, so lose the negative nellies, eat small nutritional meals, and get the gym and you will experience some amazing results!

Health/Wellness - The Confusing Diet Industry

When someone is ready to lose weight, they often don't know where to turn because there are so many programs promising them miracle and providing false hope.

From buying processed foods to high-intensity exercises that require hours to do, many weight loss gimmicks just lead people to being frustrated and confused.  So many programs out there put such an emphasis on what to eat and do not teach someone how to eat.   Unfortunately, they focus heavily on the number on the scale and not true fat loss.   They do not take into account supporting hormones, metabolic changes or digestive issues.

In order to help you understand the diet industry, I would like to break it down into the following categories:

Food and Drink:
Think about all the commercials on television trying to entice you to buy their diet sodas, feed your kids their high-sugar cereal for breakfast and lose weight by buying meals that you question if it is really chicken or not!

Pharmaceuticals:
There are medications and over-the-counter pills available that are prescribed or recommended to help a person not feel hungry.  These are often called appetite suppressants.  All they do is expand in the stomach to make the user feel full.  Unfortunately, without eating, they are not getting nutrients and thus end up storing fat.

Clinical:
People feel that their last hope is invasive surgery.   When they resort to it, they often are not taught how to eat, or which vitamins to take to provide long-term success.

Supplements:
Fortunately, there are ingredients that can support a person's needs.   However, not all are created equally.   The proper ones are backed by science and support different body needs.  If a supplement says it'll treat or cure you a disease, run far away from it!

Gym Memberships & Fitness Equipment:
Think about how many people spend money on memberships but never use them, or buy the latest infomercial exercise DVD promising to blast the fat away forever!

The problem is people are confused.  They don't know if they should eat or not eat.  Do two hours of yoga exercise or cross-fit.   Eat gluten free or not.  Fortunately, there are great programs that focus on four components that are all backed by science: low-glycemic-impact eating, changing body composition, supplementation and education.

The first component, low-GI eating, helps improve blood sugar levels, which can help the body burn more fat.  This allows the other components to work optimally, and the education component ensures the program is never confusing.

There are plenty of resources out there to help you stay on track and understand your weight loss journey so good luck and look great!
