AIMC Health Tip - What is Digestion and Why Is It Important?

AIMC Health Tip - What is Digestion and Why Is It Important?

We are heading into the holiday season when we will all be indulging in delicious food and treats. Of course, we need to treat ourselves once in a while especially if you live a healthy lifestyle. But at the same time, we should know how to take care of our bodies and digesting your food is essential for great health. So, what is digestion? Digestion is defined as the process of breaking down large, insoluble molecules of food into smaller, water-soluble molecules which can then be readily absorbed by the body. Digestion is one among many life processes observed in nearly all living organisms. What happens when food is not digested properly? When food is not digested properly, it can cause stomach discomfort like bloating and abdominal pain, lead to nutrient deficiencies and malabsorption, resulting in diarrhea or constipation, weight changes, nutritional imbalances, disrupt the gut microbiome, and affect overall health and immune function. 5 Ways to Speed Up Digestion Exercise for 30 minutes a day. Food and digested material is moved through the body by a series of muscle contractions. Eat more fiber. Eat yogurt. Eat less meat. Drink more water. Of course, there are natural effective supplements! Check out - Isotonix Digestive Enzymes -

AIMC Health Tip - Why You Need to Take a Break from Supplements?

Supplements is a multi-billion-dollar industry. There are thousands of companies and every day something new is coming out. While supplements are a subset of great health when you think of your all-encompassing lifestyle, they are not the magic formula to great health along. The quality of the supplements is important and more importantly, following the directions and monitoring your results is essential.

The one supplement I don’t recommend taking a break from is daily vitamin and mineral supplements. They don’t lose their effectiveness, and the body needs the micronutrients they supply daily. The rationale for taking supplements in the first place is as insurance against nutritional gaps in the diet and as added defense against increasing toxic pressures from the environment. Ideally, your diet should provide most of your nutritional needs, and it can if it is the right diet for you, richly varied, and abundant in fresh vegetables and fruits. So, if you are not eating a proper diet, a supplement can help close the gap. When taking a supplement, it is important to monitor the progress. If you are taking a Vitamin B supplement, do you feel more energized and focused? Or if you are taking Magnesium, are you calmer and sleeping better? If the supplement is not helping then, it may be time to ditch it or find a better product. If you’re taking supplements on a daily basis, you should be aware that many will lose their effectiveness if you use them all the time or too frequently. Medicinal plants are best viewed as dilute forms of natural drugs, not as foods or dietary supplements. For that reason, you should not take them casually or for no good reason, any more than you would take a pharmaceutical drug casually or for no good reason. So, it is important to take a break and cleanse your body and then restart at a later date. So, there you go! As mentioned, I am not saying supplements are not good for you, but they are part of your overall lifestyle plan and need to be taken properly and in time for better health. We invite you to take the 60 Second Health Quiz to understand what supplements are best for you and once you receive the results, let's follow-up and answer your questions and come up with a plan!

Why is Investing In Your Health Is More Important Than Investing in Crypto or Real Estate?

Investing in your health is more important than investing in crypto or real estate because without good health, it becomes challenging to enjoy the benefits and returns from any other investment.

Here are a few reasons why prioritizing health is crucial:

- Well-Being and Quality of Life: Good health is the foundation for a happy and fulfilling life. It allows you to engage in daily activities, pursue your passions, and maintain a high quality of life. No matter how much wealth you accumulate through investments, it won't bring you true happiness if your health is compromised.

- Longevity: Investing in your health increases the likelihood of living a longer life. By taking care of your physical and mental well-being, you can reduce the risk of chronic diseases, maintain a strong immune system, and enhance your overall longevity. A longer life allows for more opportunities to enjoy the benefits of investments and achieve personal goals.

- Reduced Healthcare Costs: Prioritizing your health can help prevent or mitigate the occurrence of various health conditions. By adopting a healthy lifestyle, you may reduce the need for expensive medical treatments, medications, and hospital visits in the long run. This can help save significant amounts of money that would otherwise be spent on healthcare expenses.

- Productivity and Success: Good health positively impacts your productivity and success in other areas of life. When you invest in your health through regular exercise, proper nutrition, and self-care, you enhance your energy levels, cognitive abilities, and focus. This, in turn, improves your performance at work or in your business, leading to greater financial opportunities.

- Adaptability and Resilience: Good health provides you with the physical and mental resilience necessary to navigate life's challenges. It enables you to cope with stress, bounce back from setbacks, and maintain a positive outlook. In the ever-changing landscape of investments and financial markets, having a resilient mindset and the ability to adapt can be invaluable.

While investing in crypto or real estate can potentially generate financial returns, it's important to remember that wealth alone cannot replace good health. Striking a balance between financial investments and prioritizing your well-being is crucial for long-term success and happiness.

AIMC Health Tip - Be Healthy Like Your Life Depends On it Because It Does

It is simple, Be Healthy Like Your Life Depends On it Because It Does

Maintaining good health is crucial because it directly affects our overall well-being and longevity. Here are some key aspects to consider when striving for a healthy lifestyle:
- Balanced Diet: Opt for a nutritious diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Minimize processed foods, sugary snacks, and excessive salt intake. Stay hydrated by drinking an adequate amount of water daily.

- Regular Exercise: Engage in physical activities that you enjoy, such as walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, or playing sports. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise per week.

- Sufficient Sleep: Make sure to get enough sleep each night. Most adults require 7-9 hours of quality sleep for optimal physical and mental functioning. Establish a consistent sleep routine and create a conducive sleep environment.
- Stress Management: Practice stress-reducing techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or engaging in hobbies. Find healthy outlets to unwind and manage stress effectively, as chronic stress can negatively impact overall health.
- Regular Health Check-ups: Schedule routine check-ups with your healthcare provider to monitor your health, identify potential issues early on, and address any concerns. Stay up to date with vaccinations, screenings, and preventive care.
- Mental Health Care: Pay attention to your mental well-being. Seek support if you're experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or any other mental health challenges. Maintain a healthy work-life balance and engage in activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.

- Hygiene and Disease Prevention: Follow good hygiene practices such as washing hands frequently, maintaining oral hygiene, and practicing safe sex. Stay updated on vaccinations and adopt preventive measures to reduce the risk of infections and diseases.
- Avoid Harmful Substances: Minimize or avoid smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and illicit drug use. These substances can have severe detrimental effects on your health.
- Social Connections: Cultivate positive relationships and a strong support system. Surround yourself with individuals who uplift and encourage healthy choices. Engage in social activities and maintain an active social life.
- Positive Mindset: Foster a positive outlook on life and practice gratitude. Positive thinking and self-care contribute to overall well-being.

Remember, maintaining good health requires consistent effort and commitment. Small, gradual changes in your daily habits can have a significant impact on your overall health and quality of life. Start your healthy lifestyle now w/ AIMC Health Solutions -

AIMC Health Tip - The Seasonal Recharge For Your Mental Health

We are getting into the tail end of the winter, and it is a time of year, where you may feel the doldrums a little and/or are stuck in a routine. The months of February and March can test your mental health and the best way to combat the bad feelings is a recharge.

So how can you get that recharge? 1. Get a good night's sleep. Getting plenty of rest can help you feel more alert and energized. 2. Exercise regularly. Exercise releases endorphins that can help boost your mood. 3. Spend time in nature. Take a walk in the park or go for a hike, breathe in some fresh air and connect with nature. If you are not a fan of the cold, take a vacation in a warm place. 4. Stay connected with people. Connecting with family and friends can help you feel less isolated. 5. Eat a healthy diet. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables can help improve your mood. 6. Set realistic goals. Setting goals can help you feel productive and give you a sense of accomplishment. 7. Practice mindfulness. Mindfulness meditation can help reduce stress and anxiety. 8. Seek professional help. If your symptoms are severe, seek professional help from a therapist or psychiatrist.

As always, the TLS Program can help you improve your lifestyle - Check it out here - http://www.aimchealthsolutions.com - and let us know if you have any questions.

The Longer The Shelf Life, The Shorter Your Life

A recent study concluded that cutting down on the amounts of ultra-processed foods could help us live longer. They defined ultra-processed foods as ready-to-eat and microwaveable foods such as these popular choices.
- Breads - Breakfast cereals, - Instant noodles - Chicken or fish nuggets, - Chocolate bars and candies, - Artificially sweetened beverages

Researchers found the more ultra-processed foods eaten, the higher the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The people who ate the most processed foods were 23 percent more likely to have cardiovascular issues than the ones who ate less processed foods.

Where to Begin? Drinking less sugared drinks and more waters or teas may be a great place to start moving away from unprocessed choices. Follow that with all of the fresh fruit that you enjoy. Berries, apricots, apples, pineapple, bananas, cherries, and grapes are just a few of the choices to include in every meal. Add them to breakfast, include them with lunch sandwiches and salads, and make room for them at dinner in fruit salads, side dishes or tarts. Then start expanding the number and variety of vegetables that you eat. Try new ones, find more recipes for your favorites, and make sure they are there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A veggie omelet, multi-vegetable lunch salad and dinner featuring veggie lasagna, black bean tacos or white bean chili might be good starting menus.

Wherever you are with processed foods, consider making more room for fresh whole foods to enjoy better health. Why Weight Loss Diets Are Not The Answer and Healthy Lifestyle Is For a Healthy Life

Whenever someone wants to get healthy, the first thing they do and say is "I am going on a diet".

So what really is the definition of a diet?
Diet is defined as a person's regularly consumed food and drink or it can mean regulating food intake to lose or gain weight. An example of diet is the eating of only vegetables. An example of diet is the cutting back to precisely 1800 calories per day.

A weight loss diet in particular is not the healthy route. By why?
Biologically, dieting can lead to unhealthy changes in body composition, hormonal changes, reduced bone density, menstrual disturbances, and lower resting energy expenditure.

So what is the answer? It is a TLS Healthy Lifestyle!

Fitness Tip - When Is The Best Time To Workout?

When Is The Best Time To Workout?

This is one of the most common questions we get. We prefer mornings for many reasons, but the real answer is "It Depends" Working out in the morning — especially on an empty stomach — is the best way to burn stored fat, making it ideal for weight loss. That’s largely because the body’s hormonal composition in the morning is set up to support that goal. Also, early workouts often lead to fewer distractions and increased productivity throughout the day. An afternoon workout can also be a great way to avoid an end-of-the-day slump. The Journal of Physiology study found that exercising between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. can shift forward your body clock in the same way as an early morning workout. When it comes to exercising in the evenings, the most significant benefit is that most people have more time. This can lead to better focus, longer workouts and better exercise adherence if you’re working out with friends or participating in an exercise class. The drawback about evening workouts is if you have trouble with your sleep patterns.

Do when is the best time to workout? Well, it depends. I prefer mornings but of course it depends on your sleep schedule and health goals. Check out our video on the DeSocial Connector You Tube Channel -

The Right Mindset Is The Key To Be Active For Life

We all know the importance of staying active and we can certainly name a long list of benefits associated with increasing our physical activities. Why then if we know the benefits that there are still so many of us who fail to prioritize it.  Is it due to lack of time or lack of motivation or both?  Only you will know the answer.

Let’s take a moment to not focus on being fit or getting stronger but to just know how a simple act of movement if done consistently can make you happier.  I truly believe that if we are happier, we will be healthier.  If you are feeling stressed and overwhelmed, get moving might be the best thing you can do to start feeling better again.  Stop making exercise a bigger task than it is.  You don’t need to go to the gym or change into fancy exercise outfit to be active.   The key is to move a bit more, sit a bit less and stand a bit more. As humans, we like to go on the road of least resistance, and we like to stay within our comfort zone. However, if our comfort zone is not serving us, we need to change whether we like it or not and the only way to creating any lasting changes is to focus on our mindset shift.

Take a sheet of paper and write out answers to the following questions?

  1. How am I feeling right now? Tired? Sad? Moody? Pain? Low energy? Lack of focus?
  2. When did I start to feel this way? A year ago, 5 years ago or you don’t even remember?
  3. What are the consequences if I continue with my sedentary lifestyle?
  4. What are the benefits if I start and maintain an active lifestyle?
  5. List out all the obstacles and excuses that will stop you from taking actions and create solution to overcome it/them.
  6. When do I want to get started? Set a date and time and stick to it no matter how difficult it is to start.  You don’t need to be good to get started but you do need to get started to be good at it.

Next step

  1. Map out a realistic plan/routine that you are willing to do and able to do. If you can’t or detest running, don’t say I will run 30 minutes every morning.
  2. Take out your planner and schedule it NOW. If it is not SCHEDULED, it will not be DONE.
  3. Ask a friend/spouse/neighbor or even your kids to keep you accountable
  4. Stick to it for 30 days straight and you may start to fall in love with your new routine.

If you are not ready to take the leap with a plan as per above and want to keep it simple, the following suggestions is a great way to get started.

  • Take the stairs instead of elevators or escalator
  • March on the spot when watching your favorite TV shows
  • Park further away in the parking lot
  • Get off the bus a stop early and walk to your destination
  • Turn on your favorite song and just dance (it doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to dance)
  • Have fun and play with your kids (tag or catching ball)
  • Find a walking buddy or accountable buddy
  • Go out for an evening walk with your kids or spouse

Last but not least, remember it’s about progress and perfection.   Celebrate your small wins, if you notice you sleep better, you smile more, then you are on your way to stay active for LIFE.
