FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Market Like a Hotshot Podcast Reaches 50 Episodes, Expands Its Reach from Framingham, Massachusetts

Framingham, MA — May 22, 2026 Market Like a Hotshot has reached its 50th episode, marking an important milestone for the podcast and the growing community around it. What began as a simple idea has grown into a steady forum for honest, practical conversations about marketing, business, leadership, and the people behind them.

Hosted by Jeffrey DeSocio and James Feudo, the podcast is recorded and produced in Framingham. The show has built a loyal audience by focusing on real experiences rather than canned advice or industry jargon.

“Reaching 50 episodes is something we’re genuinely proud of,” said Jeffrey DeSocio. “We started with a straightforward goal: talk about intriguing topics and let the conversation unfold naturally. Over time, the listeners and broader community have made it into something bigger than we imagined.”

Co-host James Feudo added, “What stands out most is the people. Every person who’s joined us onstage for our live events brings a different perspective, and every episode reinforces the value of honest storytelling. We’ve seen real momentum, and we’re excited to keep building on it.”

Since launching, Market Like a Hotshot has covered a diverse mix of topics, including those of interest to marketing leaders, startup founders, technologists, nonprofit professionals, salespeople, and emerging talent. Its unscripted format gives Jeff and James room to speak openly about their work, challenges, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

The podcast has also extended beyond the studio through three live broadcast events, which have brought listeners together for in-person conversations, networking, and community engagement. Those events have helped deepen the show’s connection with its audience while creating new opportunities for people to engage directly with the hosts and guests.

The 50-episode milestone arrives at a time when marketing and business are changing quickly. Topics such as AI, digital transformation, personal branding, and relationship-driven growth continue to shape the conversation, reflecting the realities many professionals are facing right now.

Looking ahead, DeSocio and Feudo plan to continue growing the podcast, producing more live events, and featuring guests who bring fresh perspective and practical insight to the table.

Market Like a Hotshot is available on all major podcast platforms, including Spotify, Apple, Amazon, iHeartRadio, and YouTube.

AIMC Networking Tip - Why People Don't Follow-Up After a Networking Event and Why They Should?

Most people walk out of a networking event thinking the hard part is over…

In reality, they’ve only done 10% of the work.

Here’s why people don’t follow up—and why that’s a huge mistake:

Why People Don’t Follow Up

1. “I’ll Do It Later” Syndrome

They mean to follow up… but life and work take over.
A few days pass → the moment is gone → it feels awkward to reach out.

2. They Don’t Know What to Say

People overthink it:

  • “Do I sound salesy?”
  • “Will this feel forced?”

So instead of sending a simple message… they send nothing.

3. No Immediate Need = No Urgency

If there’s no deal, job, or opportunity right now, they assume there’s no reason to follow up.

That’s short-term thinking.

4. Fear of Rejection or Being Ignored

They worry:

  • “What if they don’t respond?”
  • “What if I’m bothering them?”

So they avoid the risk entirely.

5. They Mistake the Event for the Outcome

They think:

“I met great people—that was productive.”

But connections without continuation are just… conversations that disappeared.

Why You Should Follow Up

1. This Is Where Relationships Actually Start

The event is just the introduction.
The follow-up is what turns:

  • A handshake → a relationship
  • A conversation → an opportunity

2. You Instantly Stand Out

Most people don’t follow up.

So when you do, you’re immediately:

  • Memorable
  • Professional
  • Intentional

3. Opportunities Come Later—Not On the Spot

Jobs, deals, referrals don’t usually happen at the event.

They happen:

  • Weeks later
  • Months later
  • When someone remembers you

4. It Builds Trust and Credibility

Following up shows:

  • You’re reliable
  • You respect the connection
  • You take initiative

That alone separates you from 90% of people.

5. Your Network Is Only as Strong as Your Follow-Up

If you’re not following up, you’re not really networking—you’re just attending events.

Simple Rule to Win at Networking

Follow up within 24–48 hours with something like:

  • A quick thank you
  • A reference to your conversation
  • A reason to stay connected

That’s it. No pitch needed.

Bottom Line

People skip follow-up because it feels small, awkward, or unnecessary.

But it’s actually the highest ROI move in networking.

AIMC Marketing Tip - I Hate Networking Events, What Else Can I Do to Build My Business/Career?

You’re not alone—a lot of high-performing business owners hate networking events. The good news? They’re not required to grow a strong, profitable business. In many cases, they’re not even the best option.

Here are proven alternatives that work especially well if you value depth over small talk 👇 1. Build a Referral Engine (Not a Rolodex) Instead of meeting 100 people once, focus on 5–10 strategic partners who already serve your ideal clients. How to do it:
  • Identify adjacent businesses (consultants, CPAs, fractional execs, agencies, vendors)
  • Have intentional 1:1 conversations
  • Align on who you help, how you help, and what problems you solve
  • Create a simple referral rhythm (monthly touchpoints, shared clients, co-content)
➡️ One strong partner can outperform 20 networking events. 2. Turn Your Expertise Into Visibility You don’t need to “work the room” if your ideas are already working for you. Options that scale:
  • LinkedIn posts or newsletters
  • Short educational videos
  • Thoughtful comments on your ideal clients’ posts
  • Case studies and insight-driven content
➡️ People trust the person who teaches more than the person who pitches. 3. Leverage Warm Introductions (The Anti-Networking Move) Most opportunities come from second-degree connections, not strangers. Try this:
  • Reach out to existing clients, vendors, or peers
  • Be specific: “Who do you know dealing with X problem?”
  • Make introductions easy—write the intro email for them
➡️ This feels natural, not forced. 4. Host Small, Intentional Conversations Skip the cocktail hour. Create environments where real conversations happen. Ideas:
  • Invite 5–8 people to a roundtable
  • Host a virtual lunch & learn
  • Curate a private Slack or LinkedIn group
  • Moderate a focused discussion around a shared challenge
➡️ You control the room—and the value. 5. Be Everywhere Your Clients Already Are Instead of asking “Which events should I attend?” ask: “Where are my best clients already paying attention?” That might be:
  • Industry-specific online communities
  • Trade publications or podcasts
  • Niche conferences (as a speaker, not an attendee)
  • Peer advisory groups
➡️ Context beats crowds. 6. Turn Clients Into Advocates Happy clients are your best sales team. Systematize it:
  • Capture testimonials immediately after wins
  • Share client success stories publicly
  • Ask for introductions at natural milestones
  • Stay top-of-mind with value-based follow-ups
➡️ Momentum compounds quietly. The Truth Networking events are one tactic, not a strategy. If you:
  • Prefer deep relationships
  • Want predictable growth
  • Value your time
Then intentional connection beats random interaction—every time. For more networking tips/events go to http://www.aimcbizsolutions.com/massprofessionalnetworking #Networking

We’re kicking off 2026 with a different kind of Hotshot episode — one focused on motivation, mindset, and the real challenges entrepreneurs face behind the scenes. This isn’t the highlight‑reel version of success. This is the honest, supportive, “let’s get real for a minute” conversation that so many founders need at the start of a new year.

James and Jeff talk about the ups and downs of staying motivated, especially during the cold, gloomy stretch of winter when comparison, pressure, and self‑doubt tend to creep in. They share personal stories, what’s helped them push through tough moments, and why motivation isn’t about being fired up every day — it’s about showing up, building habits, and surrounding yourself with the right people. This episode is packed with practical tips, mindset shifts, and real‑world encouragement to help you start 2026 strong. If you’ve ever felt behind, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, this conversation is for you. Disclaimer: This episode touches on motivation and general well‑being. We’re not mental health professionals, and nothing in this episode should be taken as medical or therapeutic advice. If you ever feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or find yourself thinking about harming yourself or someone else, please reach out for help right away — talk to your doctor, someone you trust, or a local hotline in your area. Why you need to be your own boss NOW - More Than Ever.

Unemployment is up big time.  Jobs are not as plentiful.  Most jobs are getting automated, consolidated or simply kaput.  Face it, we are not in your parent's economy of simply going to a job and working till 65.  For some, the pivot to be your own boss starts now.  You have no choice.   I didn't have a choice.

Let's take a look at some reasons to consider being your own boss or pursuing entrepreneurship.

  1. Autonomy: Being your own boss gives you the freedom to make decisions independently. You have the power to shape your business and work on projects that align with your vision and values.

  2. Flexibility: Entrepreneurs often have the flexibility to set their own schedules, allowing for a better work-life balance and the ability to prioritize personal commitments.

  1. Pursuit of Passion: Starting your own business allows you to follow your passion and turn it into a viable career. You have the opportunity to work on something you truly believe in and enjoy.

  2. Unlimited Potential: As an entrepreneur, there is no limit to your earning potential. You can scale your business and reap the benefits of your hard work and innovative ideas.

  3. Job Security: While being your own boss comes with its own set of risks, some people find a sense of security in being in control of their professional destiny rather than relying on a single employer.

  1. Creativity and Innovation: Entrepreneurship allows you to be creative and innovative, as you constantly search for new solutions and ideas to improve your business and address market needs.

  2. Impact: Building your own venture enables you to make a positive impact on your customers, employees, and the community at large. You have the chance to create something meaningful and leave a legacy.

  3. Skill Development: Being an entrepreneur provides opportunities for personal and professional growth. You'll be required to wear multiple hats and develop various skills, from management to marketing and finance.

  4. Challenging and Rewarding: While entrepreneurship can be challenging, it can also be highly rewarding. The sense of accomplishment from building and growing your business can be unparalleled.

It's important to note that entrepreneurship isn't for everyone, and there are risks involved. It requires dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to embrace uncertainty. Some people thrive in a traditional employment setting, while others find fulfillment and success as entrepreneurs. Ultimately, the decision to become your own boss should be based on your personal values, goals, and willingness to take on the responsibilities of running a business.

If you like to discuss some ideas for your own entrepreneur vibe, contact us!
