AIMC Fitness Tip - As You Get Older, It Is About the Quality Not the Quantity of your Workout

As You Get Older, It’s About Quality—Not Quantity

When it comes to fitness, more isn’t always better, especially as you get older.

You don't necessarily need longer workouts or more intense training. What matters is making the time you exercise count.

As we age, a smart fitness routine should focus on the things that help us stay strong, mobile, balanced, and independent:

💪 Strength – Resistance training helps maintain muscle and supports everyday activities.

🧘 Flexibility & Mobility – Stretching and mobility exercises can help you move more comfortably and maintain your range of motion.

⚖️ Balance – Balance exercises become increasingly important as we age and can help support stability and confidence.

❤️ Cardiovascular Fitness – Walking, cycling, swimming, or other activities that get your heart working can support overall health.

Think Quality Over Quantity

A focused 30-minute workout where you challenge your muscles, work on your balance, and get your heart rate up can be more valuable than spending hours exercising without a clear purpose.

And don't underestimate walking. Consistent movement throughout the day can be an important part of staying active.

The goal isn't necessarily to train like you're 25.

The goal is to stay strong, mobile, active, and healthy for the years ahead.

So the next time you exercise, don't just ask:

"How long did I work out?"

Ask:

"Did my workout help me become stronger, healthier, and more capable?"

That's the AIMC Health Tip: As you get older, make every workout count. Quality over quantity.

Do You Have The Resiliency of An Athlete Or Musician?

If you are an entrepreneur or in sales, you can relate. You have great days closing deals and you have bad days losing a deal. Case in point, I had a bad day, but it made me think of what professional athletics and/or any entertainment professional. They have been cut from the team or booed off the stage. Quite simply, they have a had a bad day.

But they learned how to be resilient and learn from what went wrong and take action from what they learned. The key is to be resilient and focus on the positive outcome and not dwell on what went wrong.

Today is a new day and it is time to be resilient and focus on those positive outcomes!

Talent Alone Does Not Dictate Success, You Gotta Have The Right Mindset ...

Did anyone this past weekend watch some of the NFL Playoffs?

After watching some football this weekend, it was evident the athletes that had the right mindset, not necessarily the talent were the ones that experienced the most success. Think of Aaron Rodgers who is very talented but can never win the big one. How about Tom Brady or Jimmy Garoppolo who are probably not the most talented but heck they know how to win! In my video below, I compared some of the most popular athletes and how even the most talented athletes didn't achieve the most ultimate goal of winning a championship. Likewise, in the professional world, some of the most talented professionals didn't achieve the most ultimate goal of being at the highest level at their company. It may be because they did not have the positive mindset to get there.

Check out our video on why you don't necessarily need to be the most talented but you need to have the best mindset to succeed. If you have the right mindset, you do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. Check out our blog - http://www.desocialconnector.com Please like/share/comment on our video on YouTube -
